Scams aren’t really hard to figure out. When applying for a work at home job, most companies want the usual credentials a regular job would;

Resume
Past experience
References
Salary requirements
History, etc.

If a “work at home company” fails to request most of these things then you should be on guard. It doesn’t necessarily mean it’s a scam! In many cases in this industry you’re probably looking at a home based business opportunity. In which case they plan on training you and they don’t need any of this information. But it also means you’ll probably have to pay a fee because no business can be started without funds. That is just common sense and it doesn’t mean a company is a scam!

But not every home based business opportunity  or even traditional companies hiring at home employees are legitimate! This page will help you detect scams!
